Visiting Jerusalem

Time in the Holy Land

Church of St Peter in Gallicantu, Jerusalem

In June, 2017, I had the wonderful experience of traveling to Israel with my son, Father William Goldin, whom we call “Will.” My husband and I flew to Rome a week earlier to attend the Doctoral Defense of Will, who had been in Rome for three years writing his dissertation. My husband had to return to work at home after this special event, but Will and I flew off to a wonderful experience in Jerusalem and other sacred sites in Israel. Since Will had visited Israel once before and received an informal tour from a very knowledgable priest friend, I was the recipient of all that information. We stayed in lodgings for pilgrims visiting the Holy Sites throughout our journey. Will was able to reserve Mass times in the churches at these sites. With me as his lector and congregation, Father William celebrated Mass in these extraordinary churches:
