Learn from Illustrated Stories
The My First Bible Stories series by Author, Katherine Sully and Illustrator, Simona Sanfilippo, are a wonderful edition to a family library. Their lovely illustrations and easy-to-read text make them perfect for young children, but also enjoyable for older children in second and third grade. The stories are an excellent accompaniment to a children’s Bible. The drawings illustrate stories that are timeless and important for children to know. I read a while ago, that top students can use illustrated children’s books to enhance their understanding of a topic through pictures. Illustrations certainly help me understand new information. I enjoyed reading these books and sharing them with my class last year, that included first graders, second graders and two third graders.
